When accessing hordemail I got blank page, for torouble shooting the issue I’ve enabled the ‘display_errors’ in the php.ini. Then the webmail page had thrown the warning:

———————
Warning : Unknown: failed to open stream: Permission denied in Unknown on line 0
Warning : Unknown: Failed opening ‘/tmp/.tmp.err’ for inclusion (include_path=’/usr/share/psa-horde:/usr/share/psa-horde/pear:.’) in Unknown on line 0
———————

Then I could find that it is not an issue of horde but the apche. I noticed Apache error logs as:
———————–
PHP Warning:  Unknown: Unable to access /tmp/.tmp.err in Unknown on line 0
PHP Warning:  Unknown: failed to open stream: Permission denied in Unknown on line0
PHP Warning:  Unknown: Failed opening ‘/tmp/.tmp.err’ for inclusion (include_path=’.:’) in Unknown on line 0
———————–

After searching google  I got a fix from the link given below: (Thanks  Nick)

As per the link I’ve changed the strange entry from the apache configuration file (httpd.conf).

<FilesMatch “\.(php|php5|php4|htm|html|jsp|shtml|asp|aspx)$”>
php_value auto_prepend_file “/tmp/.tmp.err”
</FilesMatch>

Edited it as;

<FilesMatch “\.(php|php5|php4|htm|html|jsp|shtml|asp|aspx)$”>
php_value auto_prepend_file none
</FilesMatch>

Then restarted the apache (/etc/init.d/httpd restart) and issue fixed.
